Tim Wells is home from Iraq!!!!

Although I don't have any new pictures of my brother, I want to say thanks to everyone who had him in their prayers. He is home safe and .... He sounds happy to be back. Hopefully we will be able to see him before too long. We have talked to him on the phone and the kids are happy too. We love you Timmy and are really happy to have you home.

Olivia's 'pet butterfly'.

Here are a few pictures of Olivia and her 'pet butterfly'. She had found it outside and was able to capture it, but I was able to convince her to let it fly away if it wanted to. She then took it outside and let it go. So that it could have more butterflies. :)

Cute Kids

My brother is coming home from Iraq!!!!

Tim (aka Timmy) is in route from Iraq to Atlanta. He should be calling again from Kuwait, so we will see. He is at the airport right now and should be getting a flight tomorrow (Tuesday the 29th) or the day after. Please pray that all goes well and that there are no 'hick ups' in his trip. Thanks everyone! We are all really excited to have him home again, although we won't see him in person for sometime. He should be completely done with his 'army service' at this point.
Thanks for your prayers!

Happy birthday Nadia-

Hope you had a wonderful birthday sister:)

11th Anniversary

Here we are on our 11th anniversary. Picture taken by the kids. Its hard to believe its' already been 11 years but it has been a wonderful experience for which I am thankful for. I love Tim dearly and I am thankful that he has 'put up with me' all this time. He has been wonderful!!

Tim had a birthday on April 16

Tim celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday. He got to go and eat out at Rib Crib. He had a '4 meats'plate (enough for 2- so we both shared it) Then he got some side dishes, and then since it was his birthday he got a free desert. He got a really nice peach cobbler.
I should have taken a picture of when he got his present... I had originally gotten him a nice italian leather wallet at 'Fossils' store and I was really happy with the deal I got on it, but then I had to see what he would do... so I took out the wallet and collected a few items from around the room ( a candle, box of matches, a dog collar etc) and then put them in the tissue wrapping and he opened it up and gave me a 'worried' look and said 'that isn't funny'. I thought it was, but then he saw that I had the real present for him at that point.
He had a nice chocolate cake and Ice cream, and as you can tell Georgia couldn't let him blow out the candles by himself- because she kept saying ' I need to help you daddy because my birthday is on Saturday.' She is just too cute.

Update on Valorie

I am sorry that I didn't respond with the Update sooner. We do appreciate all your prayers. The visit went really well. Valorie and Kiona and I all drove up to Kansas City on the 2nd of April. She did well with her PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) and she got her little prizes. She saw the Doctor (Dr Black) and although he and his assistant explained to me that she only gained 300 grams of weight - after 3 full months of focusing on her intake- I felt good when he said that she has good 'body mass'. Her lungs are clear and her sinus' are also clear.
The funny thing is that her highlight of going to visit her doctors is the small little prizes and then to go eat in the Cafeteria. I will let her eat 'whatever her tummy tells her'. In the line of the Cafeteria were 2 policemen (6 &7 feet in height) totally towering over her and yet they didn't intimidate her as she asked for 'a lot of spinach'. They were really surprised that a little 7 year old loves spinach.
One other nice thing was that we were able to organize things to where Valorie will get her medications sent to her in the mail. She also got this cute little machine called the 'e-flow' and it looks like a little space ship but it is a nebulizer for her breathing treatments. It is both battery operated and a plug in.
Valorie's next Doctor's appointment (in Kansas City) is on July 9 - unless anything comes up before that time-.

At this point she is on several different types of breathing treatments.
Tobi twice daily
Pulmozyme once a day
Hypertonic Saline once a day
Albuterol twice daily or up to every 4 hours as needed.
She also does her vest treatment 2 times a day for 45 minutes each time.

I will put Kiona on taking some pictures ( she is my little photographer)of the latest updates on Valorie's stuff and the latest 'gadgets'.

Please do keep Valorie in your prayers as we are still working on her weight gain. We give her high calorie snacks in the way of shakes (Oreo) and then we even make Kiefer, strawberry and Ice cream shakes at home. Getting her midnight (or rather 10pm ) snacks is a regular for us these days/weeks. We also give her 450-500 calorie frozen dinners- Fettacini Alfredo is her favorite as it has broccoli in it too-.
If anyone knows of any high calorie snacks or even meal recipes, do let me know. We are dealing with a 'picky eater' who changes what she likes and doesn't like almost on a daily or every other day basis.
